Random Thoughts – Useless Bureaucrats, Fifth Columnists, Liberal Hypocrites and More

July 24, 2022

1. I’ve been amazed as to how desperate the people at the St. Catharines Downtown Association have become to justify their own jobs. Fam Jam? Holi Festival of Color? Really? Is this all they can do to account for the compulsory membership fees they extort from downtown businesses?

1a. I’d be surprised if said compulsory membership fees weren’t about to become a significant issue in the upcoming municipal election. Businesses have been hit hard enough by our governments without piling on what amounts to a tax to pay for these useless bureaucrats.

2. Despite unsubscribing from all communication, this CPC member still continues to receive phone calls from Jean Charest. On each occasion, he leaves messages beginning with the line, “Let me tell you why I’m running for the leadership . . .” No, Jean, let me tell you why you’re running. You’re a fifth columnist who shares Justin Trudeau’s world view and is scared shitless of the coming populist revolt against your buddy’s authoritarian rule. So you want to try to infiltrate the CPC to destroy the opposition from within and thus keep the Liberals in power.

3. Dear Patrick Brown: Please. Go. Away. The Ontario PC Party didn’t want you. The CPC doesn’t want you. And it’s looking like the people of Brampton don’t want you either. Go find a real job. If anyone will hire you, that is.

4. As you might expect, neither Charest nor Brown made this CPC member’s ballot. Neither did Scott “Mr. Invisible” Aitchison or Leslyn “I love lockdowns” Lewis. Though my sentiments strongly lie with Roman Baber, I marked Pierre Poilievre as my #1 choice and Roman as #2. Pierre is a much more inspiring leader, whereas I found Roman, well, depressing. “Depressing” doesn’t win elections.

5. In light of all the abortion debates, I find it interesting how the same people who scream “My body, my choice” are the same people who want to force the masses to take genocidal poison injections. You either believe in bodily autonomy or you don’t.

6. I also find it interesting that those who tout the principles of diversity and inclusion are the same people who are proud of practicing medical discrimination. You either believe “all are welcome” or you don’t.

7. At long last, my membership in the Doug Ford Party has expired. To say the least, it will not be renewed. Note to self: Don’t renew party memberships for more than one year.

8. I shudder to think of what Obersturmführer Ford has in mind with the veto he is proposing to hand to the mayors of Toronto and Ottawa. Ford is not Mr. Benevolence. If he scratches your back, he will expect you to scratch his.

9. Slogan on a post-WWII Soviet poster: No foreign enemy ever brought as much misery to the Germans as Hitler.

Slogan that could be used on a poster today: No foreign enemy ever brought as much misery to Canadians as Justin Trudeau.
