One Million March in Niagara
September 21, 2023
Yesterday, I was part of the One Million March, which was organized in support of removing sexual orientation and gender ideology from public schools. Events took place across the country, including here in Niagara.
Participants first met up at the Husky Travel Plaza on York Road:
Many parents were there with their children. One of those children was going around hugging people who were there, thanking them for their support. “Justin Trudeau is a clown,” she said. I told her that when I was her age, I was saying things like that against Justin’s adoptive father. And yes, she did get the line about his adoptive father.
The march was originally scheduled to take place on Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls, but instead, they moved it to DSBN headquarters in St. Catharines. A much more appropriate place for such a protest, if you ask me.
More signs and placards were on display:
And there was a parade of speakers:
As I pointed out to a friend, however, there could have been 10 million people there and those high and mighty school boards wouldn’t care. What they do care about is funding. In other words, their jobs. And if we had an education voucher system, one that the Ontario Libertarian Party has long since advocated, where parents could pull their children out of the public school system along with the funding that goes with that child and use that money for a private school where they receive education, not indoctrination, none of this would be necessary. But, of course, the radical concept of being able to choose where your stolen tax money is spent is not something any government is likely to ever allow.
That said, you still have an option, and a powerful one. That’s by giving a shit at municipal election time. Last time around, three out of four didn’t bother to cast a ballot. Not just voting, but being informed. Ask the candidates for school trustee if they support this gender ideology crap. If they answer yes, tell them you won’t be voting for them for that very reason. Just like with the school boards, the trustees don’t care about you, but they do care about their own jobs.
That’s really the most effective way to fight all this garbage. Your apathy on election day is what they count on.
