Highway 1A begins in Calgary, following Crowchild Trail northwest from 16 Avenue North towards Stoney Trail. West of Calgary, the route follows the Bow Valley Trail through Cochrane, ending in Canmore. Eastern Terminus: Junction of Highway 1 (16 Avenue North) in Calgary.
