Whiteshell Provincial Park Eastbound view approaching the turn that takes PTH 44 to its eastern terminus at PTH 1. Prior to the construction of the present-day PTH 1 in the 1950's, this route continued straight ahead through West Hawk Lake and into Ontario, where it met up with King's Highway 17. The remains of the old highway still exist on both sides of the boundary. Show location on map
