The Jets selected defenseman Todd Flichel in the ninth round of the 1983 Entry Draft. After four seasons at Bowling Green State University, he made brief appearances for the Jets in 1987-1988, 1988-1989, and 1989-1990. He moved on and played parts of three more seasons in the minor leagues before bringing his playing career to a close.
