Traded to Jets by Philadelphia Flyers for Russ Romaniuk, June 27, 1995.
The Jets acquired defenseman Jeff Finley in the summer of 1995 after he had spent the last eight seasons split between the New York Islanders, Philadelphia Flyers, and their respective farm teams. He spent most of the 1995-1996 season with the Jets and proved to be a useful depth player during the season and into the playoffs. He moved with the team to Arizona, then he continued his career with the New York Rangers and St. Louis Blues before finishing his career in Germany following the 2005-2006 season.
