Signed to AHL contract by Jets, July 4, 1991. NHL ruled that Jets promoted him illegally and had no claim to his NHL rights.
The Jets signed defenseman Anatoli Fedotov to a minor league contract in the summer of 1991 and he played in one game for the Jets before returning to the minor leagues following a ruling from the NHL that the Jets had no claim to his NHL rights. He entered the Entry Draft the following season and was selected by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. He spent the next two seasons in the Ducks' organization and appeared in three NHL games before winding up his playing career with stops in Finland, Sweden, Japan, and Russia.
