Traded to Jets by St. Louis Blues for Ron Wilson, January 22, 1990. Traded to Boston Bruins for Daniel Berthiaume, June 10, 1992.
The Jets acquired winger Doug Evans midway through the 1989-1990 season and he spent the next full season with the Jets before splitting the 1991-1992 season between the Jets and two minor league clubs. The Jets dealt him to the Boston Bruins in the summer of 1992 and he was subsequently claimed by the Philadelphia Flyers in the Waiver Draft. He spent all of the 1992-1993 season with the Flyers, then he spent the next six seasons in the minor leagues with the Peoria Rivermen to wind up his playing career. Evans initially broke into pro hockey with the St. Louis Blues and spent parts of five seasons in the Blues' organization.
