The Jets acquired big centerman Mike Eastwood from the Toronto Maple Leafs late in the 1995 season and he remained with the Jets through their final season in 1995-1996. He moved with the franchise to Arizona, then moved on and played eight more seasons in the NHL split between the New York Rangers, St. Louis Blues, Chicago Blackhawks, and Pittsburgh Penguins. He retired following the 2003-2004 season.
