Jude Drouin came out of retirement to play for the Jets in 1979-1980 as they joined the NHL. He scored the game-winning goal in the Jets' first NHL victory and provided valuable veteran leadership on that team. He ended his playing career for good after the 1980-1981 season in which he played only seven games.
