Winnipeg's 1st choice, 30th overall, in 1984 Entry Draft. Traded to St. Louis Blues for Kent Carlson and St. Louis' 12th round choice in 1989 Entry Draft and St. Louis' 4th round choice in 1990 Entry Draft, September 29, 1988.
The Jets selected Peter Douris in the second round of the 1984 Entry Draft after he had starred at the University of New Hampshire. He played with the Canadian National Team in 1985-1986, then joined the Jets later that season and made his NHL debut. He spent most of his time in the Jets' organization in the minor leagues and was subsequently dealt to the St. Louis Blues. Following one season in the Blues' organization, he spent four seasons with the Boston Bruins, splitting time between the Bruins and their farm team, then he moved on to the expansion Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, where he spent three seasons. He made his last NHL appearance with the Dallas Stars in 1997-1998 and he finished his playing career after four seasons in Germany.
