Traded to Jets by Minnesota North Stars for Tim Trimper, January 12, 1984.
The Jets acquired Winnipeg native Jordy Douglas from the Minnesota North Stars midway through the 1983-1984 season and he made brief appearances with the Jets over the next two seasons before finishing his playing career in Finland. He was originally selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1978 Amateur Draft but elected to sign with the WHA's New England Whalers, who made him one of their two priority selections entering the NHL. His best season came in 1979-1980 when he tallied 33 goals for the Whalers, but his production tailed off and he was later dealt to the North Stars.
