Traded to Jets by Quebec Nordiques for cash, February 10, 1981.
The Jets acquired goaltender Michel Dion from the Quebec Nordiques in February 1981 and he went on to post three of the Jets' nine victories that season. Following the 1980-1981 season, he moved on to the Pittsburgh Penguins' organization, where he finished his career after the 1984-1985 season. Dion broke into pro hockey in the WHA with the Indianapolis Racers and, in a controversial selection, was named the league's top goaltender in 1975-1976 ahead of Joe Daley.
