The Jets selected Evgeny Davydov late in the 1989 Entry Draft and he signed with the Jets in March 1992 following several seasons in Russia and the former Soviet Union. He scored 28 goals and added 21 assists in his only full season in a Jets uniform before being dealt to the Panthers prior to the start of the 1993-1994 season. After stints with the Panthers and Senators, Davydov finished his playing career with stops in the minor leagues, across Europe, and in his native Russia.
