With the Jets in desperate need of healthy bodies, Jim Cole answered the call and suited up for the Jets for two games in 1976-1977. Cole was playing for the St. Boniface Mohawks of the Central Amateur Senior Hockey League and signed a ten-game tryout contract with the Jets. He did record one assist to show for his brief stint in major pro hockey.
