Signed as a free agent, October 5, 1982. Traded to Boston Bruins for Bill Derlago, January 31, 1986.
Wade Campbell signed with the Jets as a free agent out of the University of Alberta. The imposing defenseman spent the entire 1983-1984 season with the Jets, but he spent most of his time in the Jets' organization split between the Jets and their farm team in Sherbrooke. Campbell was later traded to the Boston Bruins, where he again split time between the Bruins and their farm team. He retired following the 1990-1991 season.
