The Jets selected hulking defenseman Arto Blomsten in the 12th round of the 1986 Entry Draft and he spent two seasons in the Jets' organization before being dealt to the Los Angeles Kings in March 1995. He returned to Sweden following the 1995-1996 season and wound up his playing career four years later.
