The Jets selected big defenseman Igor Ulanov in the 10th round of the 1991 Entry Draft and he made his debut with the Jets in 1991-1992. He remained with the Jets until being traded to the Washington Capitals in April 1995 and he went on to play with six different NHL teams over the next decade. Ulanov wound up his playing career with two seasons in Russia and one season with Minsk Dynamo of the KHL.
