Traded to Jets by Montreal for Lucien DeBlois, June 14, 1984. Traded to St. Louis Blues for St. Louis' 5th round choice in 1987 Entry Draft, June 5, 1987.
The Jets acquired rugged winger Perry Turnbull during the summer of 1984 and he spent three seasons with the Jets. He topped the 20-goal plateau twice, but his third and final season with the Jets was racked by injuries. During his time in Winnipeg, he was most noted for an incident in New York where he was conned out of some cash by a street hustler who promised him a camera and instead sold him a rock.
