Traded to Jets by Montreal for future considerations, January 14, 1988.
The Jets acquired Alfie Turcotte from the Montreal Canadiens in January 1988 and he made brief cameo appearances with the Jets over the next two seasons before moving on to spend two seasons with the Washington Capitals' organization. Turcotte finished up his playing career with eight seasons spread across various teams in the minor leagues and in Europe. He was originally selected with the 17th overall pick in the 1983 Entry Draft, but he never developed into an NHL regular.
