Traded to Jets with Doug Lecuyer by Chicago Blackhawks for Peter Marsh, December 1, 1980. Traded to Minnesota North Stars for Jordy Douglas, January 12, 1984.
The Jets acquired winger Tim Trimper in December 1980 and he remained with the Jets for three years until being dealt to the Minnesota North Stars. He spent 1984-1985 split between the North Stars and their farm team in Springfield and retired after that season. He was originally drafted by the Chicago Black Hawks in 1979 and played parts of two seasons in their organization before being dealt to the Jets.
