Signed as a free agent, August, 1975. Rights retained prior to Expansion Draft, June 9, 1979.
The Jets signed slick centerman Peter Sullivan during the summer of 1975 and he remained with the Jets for the next six seasons. The fancy stickhandler gave the Jets a potent second line and became one of the most popular players to wear a Jets uniform. He last saw action in the minor leagues in 1984-1985. Sullivan was originally drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in 1971, but was unable to crack the lineup in Montreal after three seasons in their organization.
