The Jets acquired winger Darrin Shannon in October 1991 and he remained with the Jets through their final season in 1995-1996. He moved with the team to Arizona and played two seasons for the relocated franchise before winding up his playing career in the minor leagues following the 1999-2000 season. Shannon was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1988 and he made his NHL debut with the Buffalo Sabres in 1988-1989 following a trade in November 1988.
