Centerman Garth Rizzuto signed with the Jets in July 1972 and he spent two seasons with the Jets. He came with a reputation of being a quick skater with an equally quick temper and his brief pro career came to an end following the 1974-1975 season. Rizzuto made his NHL debut with the Vancouver Canucks in 1970-1971 after spending three full seasons in the minor leagues.
