The Jets signed Paul Pooley and his twin brother Perry during the summer of 1984 and he made brief appearances with the Jets over the next two seasons before winding up his brief playing career one year later as a member of the IHL's Fort Wayne Komets. He turned to coaching and worked at the collegiate level for more than two decades as an assistant and a head coach.
