The Jets signed defenseman Mark Plantery prior to the start of the 1979-1980 season following three seasons of junior hockey in Ontario. He spent four seasons in the Jets' organization, but his only appearances with the Jets came in 1980-1981, when he played in 25 games. The remainder of his career was spent in the minor leagues and he retired following the 1985-1986 season.
