The Jets claimed defenseman Mark Osiecki off waivers in February 1993 and he spent four games with the Jets before being dealt to the Minnesota North Stars one month later. He spent two more seasons in the minor leagues before winding up his brief pro career. He broke into the NHL as a member of the Calgary Flames in 1991-1992 following three seasons at the University of Wisconsin.
