Traded to Jets with Ed Olczyk by Toronto Maple Leafs for Dave Ellett and Paul Fenton, November 10, 1990. Traded to Toronto Maple Leafs for Lucien DeBlois, March 10, 1992.
The Jets acquired winger Mark Osborne from the Toronto Maple Leafs in November 1990 and he played parts of two seasons with the Jets before being dealt back to the Leafs in March 1992. He went on to play for both the Leafs and New York Rangers before winding up his playing career with a stint in the minor leagues. He then worked as an assistant coach for three seasons in the minor leagues and at the junior level. Osborne was originally drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the third round of the 1980 Entry Draft and he spent time with the Red Wings, Rangers, and Maple Leafs before being dealt to the Jets.
