The Jets selected goaltender Mike O'Neill in the first round of the 1988 Supplemental Draft and he spent many years in the Jets' organization but saw little action as a Jet. After leaving the Jets, aside from one game with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, he spent the rest of his career in the minor leagues and in Europe. His childhood idol was Ken Dryden.
