#28 - Craig Martin

Craig D. Martin
Right Wing
Born January 21, 1971 in Amherst, Nova Scotia
Height: 6' 2" Weight: 215
Winnipeg's 6th choice, 98th overall, in 1990 Entry Draft. Claimed on waivers from Detroit Red Wings, January 20, 1995.
The Jets selected rugged winger Craig Martin late in the 1990 Entry Draft and following four seasons of junior hockey in Quebec, he spent two seasons in the Jets' organization. He signed with the Detroit Red Wings as a free agent, only to be claimed on waivers by the Jets once again in January 1995. He spent 20 games with the Jets in 1995, then moved on the following year and saw one more NHL game with the Panthers. Martin spent the rest of his penalty-filled career in the minor leagues and in Europe. In a stop emblematic of his career, he spent 30 games with the Mark Chipman Moose in 1997-1998, where he picked up 15 fighting majors to lead the team that year.
