The Jets selected goaltender Ron Loustel in the sixth round of the 1980 Entry Draft and he made one appearance with the Jets on 27 March 1981 in which he yielded 10 goals to the Vancouver Canucks. He never again reached the NHL level and retired following the 1982-1983 season.
