The Jets selected goaltender Stephane Beauregard in the third round of the 1988 Entry Draft. Though he spent most of his career in the minor leagues, as a Jet, he became best known for the number of times he was re-acquired by the Jets. After being traded to the Buffalo Sabres, the Jets re-acquired him twice. Following his third tenure with the Jets, he finished his playing career with a number of stops in the minor leagues and in Europe. He listed former Montreal Canadiens' superstar Guy Lafleur as his childhood idol.
