The Jets selected winger Mike Lauen late in the 1980 Entry Draft and after four seasons at Michigan Tech University, he joined the Jets' organization. He played four games for the Jets in 1983-1984 and spent the remainder of his two full seasons in the Jets' organization with their farm team in Sherbrooke. He wound up his playing career following the 1985-1986 season.
