Born November 27, 1976 in Cornwall, Ontario
Height: 6' 3" Weight: 204
Traded to Jets with Oleg Tverdovsky and Anaheim's 3rd round choice in 1996 Entry Draft by Mighty Ducks of Anaheim for Teemu Selanne, Marc Chouinard and Winnipeg's 4th round choice in 1996 Entry Draft, February 7, 1996.
The Jets acquired Chad Kilger from the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim as part of the Teemu Selanne “trade” in February 1996. The fourth-overall selection in the 1995 Entry Draft and son of a former NHL referee, he made little impact during his brief time with the Jets and he moved with the team to Arizona, where he spent the next two seasons split between the NHL and the minor leagues. Kilger moved on and spent time with the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers before establishing himself as a regular contributor with the Montreal Canadiens. He wound up his playing career with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2007-2008.
