The Jets selected Sergei Kharin late in the 1989 Entry Draft and after over a decade with the Soviet Wings, he joined the Jets' organization in 1990-1991, suiting up for seven games with the Jets. He was traded to the Quebec Nordiques early the following season and spent the remainder of his career in the minor leagues.
