The Jets selected winger Yan Kaminsky in the fifth round of the 1991 Entry Draft and he made his Jets debut in 1993-1994 after four seasons with Moscow Dynamo in his native Russia. He was traded to the New York Islanders in Feburary 1994 and he played in 25 games with the Islanders over two seasons before winding up his playing career with stops in the minor leagues and in Finland.
