The Jets acquired winger Bob Joyce from the Washington Capitals in the summer of 1991 and he made only token one-game appearances with the Jets in each of the next two seasons. He moved on following the 1992-1993 season and wound up his playing career with various stops in the minor leagues and in Germany. Joyce broke into the NHL with the Boston Bruins in 1987-1988 following three seasons at the University of North Dakota and one season with the Canadian National Team.
