Traded to Jets with Tyler Larter and Kent Paynter from Washington Capitals for Craig Duncanson, Brent Hughes and Simon Wheeldon, May 21, 1991.
The Jets acquired winger Bob Joyce from the Washington Capitals in the summer of 1991 and he made only token one-game appearances with the Jets in each of the next two seasons. He moved on following the 1992-1993 season and wound up his playing career with various stops in the minor leagues and in Germany. Joyce broke into the NHL with the Boston Bruins in 1987-1988 following three seasons at the University of North Dakota and one season with the Canadian National Team.
