The Jets selected winger Brad Jones in the 8th round of the 1984 Entry Draft and following four seasons at the University of Michigan, he made his Jets debut late in the 1986-1987 season. He played on the U.S. National Team the next season, but he got into 19 games for the Jets and split the next season and a half between the Jets and their farm team in Moncton before being traded to the Los Angeles Kings. He played in the NHL for the Kings and Philadelphia Flyers, then moved on to finish his playing career with stops in the minor leagues and in Europe.
