Traded to Jets from Montreal for Doug Soetaert, October 9, 1984.
The Jets acquired goaltender Mark Holden from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for Doug Soetaert prior to the start of the 1984-1985 season and he played in the Jets' organization for two seasons, appearing in four games for the Jets. He finished his playing career following the 1985-1986 season. Holden was originally drafted by the Canadiens late in the 1977 Amateur Draft and after four seasons at Brown University, he spent four seasons in the Canadiens' organization. He held a pilot's license and owned his own aircraft.
