The Jets acquired enforcer Mike Hartman from the Buffalo Sabres prior to the start of the 1991-1992 season and he spent most of his only season with the Jets in the penalty box. The next summer, the Jets lost Hartman to the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Expansion Draft and he went on to play for the Lightning and New York Rangers before winding up his playing career in the minor leagues along with one season in Germany.
