After spurning the Jets' offers during the summer of 1972, defenseman and Winnipeg native Jim Hargreaves signed with the Jets during the summer of 1973. He spent one season with the Jets before being claimed by the expansion Indianapolis Racers during the summer of 1974. He split the 1974-1975 season between the Racers and San Diego Mariners and retired following the 1975-1976 season.
