Traded to Jets by Baltimore Blades for future considerations (two of ten players currently on active roster), February 2, 1975.
Following the mid-season move of the Michigan Stags to Baltimore in 1975, the Jets acquired Danny Gruen from the Michigan/Baltimore franchise and he finished the 1974-1975 season with the Jets. He was largely a disappointment during his brief tenure with the Jets and he moved on to play for three more WHA teams along with the NHL's Colorado Rockies before finishing his career in the minor leagues.
