Traded to Jets from Quebec Nordiques for cash, October 8, 1980.
The Jets purchased the contract of winger Dan Geoffrion prior to the 1980-1981 season. The son of the legendary Bernie “Boom Boom” Geoffrion spent the entire year with the Jets and his 20-goal season was one of the few bright spots the Jets had that season. He remained with the Jets' organization for two more seasons before bringing his brief playing career to a close.
