On the Road – Dipshit Outbreak, Inconsiderate Passengers, Mental Cases and More
October 24, 2026
Highlights and lowlights from yesterday’s trek to and from the universe’s center:
1. Bright and early, a bum’s stash just outside the LCBO at Fairview Mall:

2. While waiting for the GO bus, with plenty of available space on the platform, a black woman in dreadlocks came and stood one foot in front of me, then kept looking behind as if I was the one crowding her space.
3. As this was going on, some dude riding an e-bike towing a wheeled suitcase behind him made his way to the bike rack, where he locked up his e-bike, then wheeled his suitcase past the bus stop before heading toward the La-Z-Boy.
4. On the packed GO bus, few seats were available, so I took a seat next to a woman who had her bag next to her. I didn’t ask her permission to sit there, but she moved the bag before my butt hit the seat. Across the aisle, however, someone did ask a woman to move her bag. Sometimes, people are too nice for their own good.
5. Boarding after me was a black guy wearing a “NEW ZEALAND” cap who was toting a black bag with an Ontario dealer plate inside.
6. Boarding at Beamsville was a dude wearing a “F--- IT” cap turned backwards.
7. On the platform at Burlington, there was no fare inspector. Or maybe he or she was off somewhere else chatting with one or more colleagues. Which kinds of defeats the purpose.
8. Walking down the platform toward the ramp for the accessibility coach was an older woman with a cane who was wearing a black dipshit mask. Outside.
9. Seated across the aisle on the train was this DWAM™. Later, after he was finished with his phone, he pulled his cap down and tried to get some shut-eye. And as we were pulling into Union, he took his dipshit mask off. Perhaps he had some inside information that Union was 100% virus free.

10. Also seated across the aisle was this dude who was passed out for most of the ride to Union:

11. In the York Concourse was this pair of DWAMs™ with matching black dipshit masks. And in the distance on the right in the next row of seats was yet another DWAM™. I was beginning to wonder if someone had turned the clock back five years.

12. Nearby was this passed-out woman with an open laptop and some Halloween-themed goodies from McDonald’s:

13. As I was taking that shot, I listened as a Metrolinx employee told someone that her colleague was off work because her middle finger got caught in the door of a train as it was closing, tearing the nail completely. Apparently, this colleague can’t drive with the bum finger, even though she’s tried putting some aloe stuff on it. “She’s more dense, not fit,” said the employee about her injured colleague.
14. Elsewhere in the York Concourse was this fat dude passed out while waiting for his phone to charge:

15. Not far from that scene was this DWAM™, parked on the floor using her bag as a cushion. Even though there were many benches close by.

16. In a disturbingly familiar theme, this DWAM™ was waiting for the subway and another DWAM™ was also headed for the subway:

Later, the blue-masked DWAM™ took a seat next to a fellow DWAM™, no doubt comforted that her seatmate was equally “fully protected” from dangerous airborne viruses:

17. Passing me on the sidewalk on Wellesley was a black woman wearing a dipshit mask. Outside. Stop me if you’ve seen this movie before.
18. While I was inside the Good Earth Coffeehouse, an older guy wearing a University of Calgary jacket walked by. No doubt, people must have been wondering where that Calgary place is. Somewhere north of Markham, perhaps?
19. Crossing the street nearby was a DWAM™ who went right into a pharmacy, obviously still a slave to the drugs which are killing him.
20. Soon after, a scruffy mental case wearing an unbuttoned white dress shirt came rushing in, went right up to the counter, then just as quickly, turned around and left.
21. Because some people are more special than others . . .

22. Or not . . .

23. Crossing Carlton near Maple Leaf Gardens was a guy wearing an Argonauts jersey. It’s got to be the first time I’ve seen someone in Toronto wearing Argonauts paraphernalia.
24. Free printer. Slight wear.

25. Nothing quite says “Taste of Canada” than Indian cuisine and shawarma . . .

26. Why use any of the many free outlets in the Eaton Center food court when you can spend $2 to rent a charger for 30 minutes?

27. Tell me that this isn’t still a thing . . .

28. Another of the many characters in Union:

29. Seated across the aisle from me on my return trip was a perky young woman toting a bag from Wetzel’s Pretzels who began reading a newly purchased paper copy of The Poppy War.
30. In the tunnel at Burlington GO was an ad from Lisa Kearns, who’s running for mayor there. But I wonder if she’s aware that most people who are in the tunnel are just transiting through and don’t actually live in Burlington.
31. Tim Hortons called. They want their employee back.

32. Elsewhere in the terminal, a couple of scruffy bums were hanging around, one of whom was blasting music from his phone so loud it could be heard throughout the station. And yet none of the customer care reps said a thing to him.
33. Seeing this from the back, I thought this was a woman. But no, he was a dude. Of sorts.

34. Standing atop the overpass at Casablanca Boulevard in Grimsby was a lone dude holding up a Canadian flag. He should have been flying it upside down.
35. Dear Metrolinx: Why is there no Wi-Fi available on those new MCI buses you’re rolling out? Did you just forget this little detail? Even in little Moncton, they have free Wi-Fi on their buses.
