Over the River LXXXVIII

April 5, 2025

Highlights and lowlights from my 88th two-wheeled trek to the Great State of New York:

1. Standing outside at Fairview Mall waiting for the regional bus was an Asian DWAM™ who must have been scared shitless being in such close proximity to us potential virus spreaders during the ride to the Falls. Call me heartless, but I’m beyond pity for such people. It doesn’t excuse the government for the propaganda campaign that broke the brains of so many, but at some point, you just have to press the reset button and come to grips with the fact that you’ve been duped.

2. Approaching a Niagara Falls bus at Morrison & Dorchester with a big lighted “110” out front and along the side was a woman who asked the driver, “Are you the 60?” As I’ve said before, having the patience to deal with idiots must be the toughest part of a bus driver’s job.

3. The CBP officer who served me at the Rainbow Bridge asked, “What brought you here today?” I resisted the urge to say, “My bike.” And for the first time, I was asked how much currency I was traveling with.

4. Seated immediately behind the driver on the #40 NFTA bus I was on was a chubby dude who was huddled over and secretively tapping away on both of his smartphones.

5. Video of the ride from the South Grand Island Bridge to the Tonawandas Gateway Harbor:

6. Needing a break, I made my second visit to the Coffee & Stone in North Tonawanda, where I was served by a young girl in a foul disposition with dyed blond hair, wearing a nose ring and covered in tattoos, including a “444” around her neck. Service with a scowl.

7. The girl behind the counter was hardly the only one in the place with a scowl on her face as smiles were few and far between. This included a fat dude named Brian who waddled over to the counter to pick up a breakfast sandwich that he inhaled quickly and another fat dude named Mike who was chomping on something the whole time I was there. I knew his name was Mike because he had a “Hi, my name is Mike” sticker on the laptop he was working on. The only chuckles came from a morbidly obese woman built like a bowling ball who was so large that it was a wonder the chair she was sitting on didn’t buckle under all that weight. Forget MAHA, RFK needs to adopt the slogan MALFA – Make America Less Fat Again.

8. After Brian claimed his breakfast sandwich, an odd-looking woman in her mid-40s with pink streaks in her hair and wearing large black earrings and a black hoodie with the message, “State Street or Die!” plastered on the back walked in. She sipped on some light reddish-orange colored beverage while waiting for her big order that she needed a shopping bag to carry out.

9. Videos of the ride from North Tonawanda to Niagara Falls:

10. Approaching the toll booth at the Rainbow Bridge, I spotted a car with Ontario plates being turned around by the CBP. And as if that wasn’t bad enough, they still had to pay toll on the bridge.

11. Waiting for the regional bus at Morrison & Dorchester was this DWAM™ who was sitting on his walker before the driver came. Here, he is pictured reading Star Wars, probably on the chapter where opposing forces are doing battle on Planet Dipshit, where this guy would feel right at home.

12. Approaching the bus at Niagara College was a pair of black women, one of whom asked the driver if he was going to the outlet mall across the street. He said he was, so they stepped on, only to stop when the driver told them the fare was $6 per person. Taken aback, they both turned around and got off the bus.
