Ode to a Dying Mall

Fairview Mall used to be a real happening place, you know
Now it’s just a convenient place to catch the GO
Right now, if appears few would care
If the mall went by the way of Niagara Square
Restaurants in the food court continue to flee
It’s no wonder as the lunchtime crowd numbered only three
Other stores are disappearing one by one
Even the lotto counter is now done
Mat Siscoe’s homeless shelter on Geneva will only hasten its demise
We will soon be seeing the mall crumble before our very eyes
It’s such a shame to see the place fall from such heights
Will the last one leaving please turn out the lights
