Grand Forks is the favorite cross-border shopping destination for Manitobans and much of that community has been built on Canadian dollars. Those Canadian dollars are often taken for granted as evidenced by the conspicuously absent friendliness otherwise so common in the Midwest and particularly in Minnesota.
