A New Beginning

Welcome to the newest edition of my blog, previously hosted on Blogger and Wordpress. I am in the process of moving older entries to the new platform, and so far, I've got about a third of them converted. For the time being, at least until the conversion is complete, I will be leaving the Wordpress site (http://curtiswalker.com/wordpress/) intact.
The reasons why I've decided to move away from Wordpress and roll my own blogging platform are as follows:

I didn't mind older versions so much, but version 5 and the new “blocks” provided the final push for me. Yes, I know I can use the “classic” block, but even then, they still don't make it easy for you. So instead, I decided to develop something simple that's easy for me and gives me a lot more control.
