Traded to Jets by Los Angeles Kings for Gilles Hamel, November 25, 1988. Traded with Dave Ellett to Toronto Maple Leafs for Ed Olczyk and Mark Osborne, November 10, 1990.
The Jets acquired gritty forward Paul Fenton from the Los Angeles Kings early in the 1988-1989 season and he spent the entire year with the Jets before being traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs in November 1989. He wound up his playing career following the 1991-1992 season as a member of the San Jose Sharks. Fenton broke into the NHL as an undrafted free agent with the Hartford Whalers and he also spent time with the New York Rangers before joining the Jets.
