#23 - Kent (Frat) Ruhnke

Kent Ruhnke
Position: Right Wing
Born September 18, 1952 in Toronto, Ontario
Height: 6' 1" Weight: 180
Signed as a free agent, July, 1976.
After earning his degree at the University of Toronto, winger Kent Ruhnke signed with the Jets in the summer of 1976 instead of accepting an offer from the Boston Bruins. He spent two seasons with the Jets, but his 1976-1977 season was marred by a bout with mononucleosis. Ruhnke spent the following year split between the Jets and Binghamton of the AHL, but he did score twice in five playoff games as the Jets captured their second AVCO Cup championship. He wound up his brief playing career with a season in Germany.
